Managers can often influence many employees and ideas within a workplace. Job roles, employees and pay are just a few things that are often highly influenced by management. There are plenty of managers out there both good and bad. Every person is an individual and carry different skills upon them. Firstly a good manager will always carry with them a smile. Not only will this make you feel good but it will also make other employees feel good to. A smile can go a long way and it is amazing how much it can change a work place.

Secondly you as a manager should make an effort to look for the potential that all employees carry within themselves. This will not only help employees but will also help you as a manager. By making their potential known to them you can make them achieve more. Working to an employees strengths can produce more quality work, it is also important to assess their weaknesses and help them to improve. Regular one to one meetings will help you to do this.


Thirdly it is also important to show to other employees that you are confident. By showing a more confident management style your employees will also show you more respect as they know they cannot walk all over you. This is an important factor for those who want to succeed in your job.

One major priority for management today should be to actually like your employees and build a trustworthy relationship with them. However you should limit the relationship and try not to get to close to any individual. This could cause some major issues within the workplace, producing an unhappy environment.

Interim management is a great way to bring in new and fresh ideas as well as having someone to look at how effective your team is. Interim managers are highly qualified, who learn a lot through experience. By constantly changing roles brings more experience and knowledge to interim managers compared to those who attend the same work place day in day out. Interim managers are good at analyzing a workplace and often cause change for the better. Weaknesses can be spotted easily as it is experienced in many other environments.


A highly qualified background leads to a quick completion of tasks. Being paid for the amount of work produced is one reason for tasks being completed quickly. This makes them productive in producing more work, as the more they produce the more they get paid.

It takes a lot for someone to become a mangers and even then it doesn't necessarily mean they are right for the job. It takes more confidence than you think to become a manager and be able to take control of both employees and tasks in hand. This however is only a little insight into the skills needed.
